~ Baby Wyatt ~

Here is a sweet little baby boy that I had a session with last week!  First off, I have to give you a little history on this family….

My family and I moved to Shepherd about 6 years ago, and instantly became friends with our neighbors across the street.  Sarah’s mom and dad, are those neighbors.  My husband absolutely loves (in a manly way) Wayne (the dad).  Over the course of these past 6 years, we have seen Sarah’s younger brothers move out of the house, attended two weddings, and saw their family grow!  When I say grow, I mean that in canine growth!!  All of them have dogs, and the dogs come to every family function they have.

My two youngest have adopted Sarah’s parents as their surrogate grandparents.  They are so spoiled by her folks!  All summer long they are over there eating ice cream, or strawberries, or whatever they can mooch off of them!!  I figure that was really good practice for them, because now Sarah and Chase had a baby.  Little Wyatt has been a huge blessing and when I asked Wayne about him while they were still in the hospital, his face just lit up and he said, “Oh Kerry, he is a little honey!”

During our session, I saw that new mommy and daddy glow that you see in first time parents.  I still cannot describe the feeling I get when see the look of love and adoration from these newbies.  It is pure bliss!  Well, how can you not love this little guy??

So, here he is, Baby Wyatt!  Oh and I think he looks just like his grandpa!

Tracy and Kerry Speak Up

Hello!  I have to start off saying that I work with a crazy fun crew at Tracy Moore Photographers.  Tracy is so creative and is pretty much a marketing genius in my opinion.  With that said, she has come up with the idea of podcasts.  Right now they will be pre-recorded, but for the most part, it will be a Q & A for anyone who wants to join in.

I really feel like I need to put a disclaimer out here real fast…. I get very nervous in front of a camera or any type or recording device!  I am pretty sure that is why Tracy encouraged me to do this.  She constantly pushes me to do things that I normally would not do.  I was always the one in the pictures that just knew I would look terrible, so as long as my kids and hubby looked good, I did not care what stupid face I was making!  I have since realized that the dorky-crossed-eyes-crooked-lips-look was not always the best look for a canvas to hang in our home.

Ok… got that out there… I am sure that I will eventually get comfortable enough and stop worrying about where to put my arms.  :)  So, back to where I was going with this… You can post questions on my Facebook ”like” page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kerry-Tracy-Moore-Photographers/247971118568923 or Tracy’s page http://www.facebook.com/TracyMoorePhotography and we will open our time up for discussion.  Like I said, this is brand new, so we really do not know how long each session will go.

Heather and Luke ~ Maternity Session

I must say that I am loving this Montana winter… actually, am I able to call it winter???  Regardless, I was able to take Heather and Luke outside in the middle of December for their maternity session.Was it cold?  Honestly, not too bad.

These two are so dang adorable, and were up for anything.  Heather is such a sweet girl and has amazing dimples complimented by her gorgeous hair!!!  Her hubby obviously adores her, and the amount of love they will have for this baby is huge!  I absolutely loved this session, and cannot wait for the newborn session.

Happy New Year’s Eve!!

Well, I thought I would start this new year off with a blog.  I have been really bad about blogging and making excuses as to why I have not.  One of my goals this year is to blog at least two times a week.

With all of that said, I would like to catch you up on how my year has ended…..

First off, since becoming an associate shooter for Tracy Moore Photographers, my business has skyrocketed.  I am so very thankful that she has given me the opportunity to work with her.  She is an amazing person with a passion for helping others.  She encourages me when I doubt myself, and ALWAYS knows how to make me laugh.  We were so lucky when she found Steph-Steph and hired her as our Studio Manager this past year.  I think we make an amazing team, and Steph-Steph, keeps us organized and in line!!  Now, I cannot forget Matt.  Not only has he got some mad videography skills, he is great at making us lunch  We will be a force to be reckoned with in 2012, guaranteed!

Second, I have to say that even though I was scared to death applying for the Cheer Coach position at Shepherd High School, I absolutely love it.  I believe that I have changed the minds of many students and faculty, when it comes to our squad.  Last year the girls felt like they had no respect from their peers and were not liked.  So, I decided to just include our squad in all the football team dinners, and even came to support them at their awards banquet.  I think that the camaraderie between the two groups has changed tremendously.  We are now into our second season of cheer, and are supporting our girls and boys in basketball.   The most exciting part is yet to come.  We will be going to Lewistown for Cheerfest in March!  This is a competition that these girls have not been to since Junior High.  However that year, they took 1st place!

Another great end to my year was the opportunity to spend Christmas with my mom and dad from California.  It was our first Christmas together in 8 years.  The last time we spent the holidays together was the year I met my amazing husband Curtis.  With the economy the way it is in California, my dad was actually out here looking for work.  Though that did not pan out, while he was here, his brother called and offered him a job back in Cali.  It amazes me how God works in our lives, for sure!

And finally, the absolute best part of my year…. celebrating yet another addition to our ever growing family.  Miss Kylie Ann was born on December 23rd, and after a few days in the hospital was released to go home on my birthday!!

It is my hope that this finds everyone happy and healthy with their friends and family.  I know I am very thankful for everyone in my life, and all of you that support me in my new venture in photography.  I have never been so happy with a career, as I am with this one.

Mojo Toad… Red Lodge MT

So I am sure you all remember my blog a couple of weeks ago when I packed up my hubby and we went to Red Lodge for the weekend.  Well, while we were there, Red Lodge Ski Resort was hosting its Season Pass Holder Appreciation Party at Red Lodge Ales.  We decided to crash this little event and while enjoying some great brew, we were entertained by an awesome band.  The band was called Mojo Toad.  They were a great rock and roll, bluesy, funk type band that knows how to have a GREAT time!  The guys were all very talented and full of character.  I am a huge local band supporter and think this band has the potential to make themselves known.

Please go and like their page on Facebook, it is Mojo Toad (Musician/Band) and show your support.  They will be playing in Red Lodge, Halloween weekend so if you happen to be up there, you MUST check them out!

Beautiful Bozeman Family ~ Hyalite Canyon

I was in Bozeman recently and met this awesome family!!  It was a last minute decision to chance the weather and drive out to Bozeman with our fingers crossed hoping the rain would not pay us a visit.  I am so glad we decided to go for it because this location was AMAZING!  I have never been up there and could not believe the beauty of the trees along with the streams coming off of the mountain.  I loved hanging out with this family too, because Hayes, the mom is about as real as one can get.  She has a great sense of humor and is drop dead gorgeous!  Oh and did I mention her fashion sense?  Yeah, this girl rocks.

Everyone knows how much I love babies and this little girl was so stinkin adorable and fun to follow around.  She is 10 months old and can already walk!  I was the one who had to keep up with her!!!  She loves rocks and is completely fearless… my kind of kiddo.   Here is our session, enjoy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Martin Family ::{Sneak Peek}::

Here is the Martin Family… I have known this family for about 3 years and let me tell you, they are super fun.  Mom and Dad each own their own Harley, and the kids ride dirt bikes!  Tanya is a hairdresser and owns her own studio, Tanya Sue’s Hair Design.  They have a gorgeous yard and we were able to do all of these pictures there.  I love the fact that I can still see the spark in their eyes when they look at each other.  I felt like this was an engagement shoot at the end!  Well, here is your sneak peek into your session!

Sweet Baby and Her Protective Brother…

We had our first pup in the studio!  This is Baby Tenley and her big brother Milo.  It was so sweet to see these two together and see how much mom and dad loved both of them  Milo was a great performer with his treats and Tenley was a great little model for us.  She was awake for most of the session and barely put up a fuss at all.  I could not believe this baby was only 6 days old when she came in.  Look at the rolls this little girl already has!

I just love the seeing the adoration in a parent’s eyes when they are parents for the first time, and this time was no different.  Baby Tenley is their little princess and it showed.

Mini Session in November

Well it is that time of year again when all of us parents start to think about our Christmas cards.  Every year since moving to Montana I have always done an outdoor picture with my family. Montana has so much to offer when it comes to outdoors.  We have rivers, and streams, along with such a vast variety of terrain.  With that said, we are offering mini sessions in the park November 5th and 6th.  Below is a flyer with all of the information you will need.

Last year Tracy and I started donating to Santa Claus for a Cause sponsored by Hot 101.9, and this year we are donating 5% of all profits to this project that benefits children that are less fortunate in our community.  We truly believe that giving back to our community is very important and love being able to help out any way we can.

These sessions fill up very fast so don’t wait!!

Burns Family Session…

This is Greg and Annie Burns.  They have three absolutely gorgeous kiddos.  I am not sure how I have been so lucky to have so many red heads lately, but I am counting my blessings.  This family was so fun, and such a mixture of temperaments.  I loved how little Andie (the red head) was off in her own little world, day-dreaming about who knows what as she twirled her hair.  And Ellie was such a sweetie wanting to shine in front of the camera, after of course I gave her some smarties  She was such a cool little girl, she even had a feather in her hair.  Then there was little Brady, who had just turned one.  His blue eyes just shined and I could not believe how beautiful they were in these shots.

This was such a beautiful family and I am so glad I was able to photograph them.
